Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College

In his first college coaching job at the age of 26, Tanner became the head coach of the women’s softball team at ABAC which won the national championship in 1995. Tanner is a native of Douglas and later became the principal at Coffee High School and the President of South Georgia State College.
