TIFTON, Ga. -
Shakiria Chaney had quite a week.
She earned Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Fillies Player of the Week. Chaney scored her 1,000th point against Brewton-Parker and scored 30+ points and achieved a double-double in all three games she played.
In naming Chaney, head coach
Charles Wimberly cited her hard work.
Chaney joined ABAC's reformed women's basketball team in 2024 for its first season. She led the Fillies in scoring that season and is currently second nationally in scoring average at 23.3 points per game.
At Trinity College of Jacksonville, Chaney scored 30 points. Versus Brewton-Parker it was 34 and, in their win over Point, Chaney netted 33.
