MONTGOMERY, Ala. -
Benjamin Ranby-Al of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College earned a spot on the Southern States Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete Team as the 2026 season came to a close.
Ranby-Al was one of seven players voted to the Scholar-Athlete Team. Of the group, his GPA was said to be the highest at 3.97.
He played mostly at 3 and 4 singles this season and went 1-4 as a singles player against the rest of the SSAC.
Partnered with
Milan Volbert, Ranby-Al fared even better in doubles. The two were 2-3 against SSAC teams.
Perhaps the biggest moment for Ranby-Al this year was against No. 19-ranked SCAD-Savannah. Ranby-Al's 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles clinched the upset. He and Volbert also won their doubles match, 6-3, key in claiming that point.
