GREENVILLE, Ala. - Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College's golf team settled down Tuesday and moved up to 7th place at the Southern States Athletic Conference tournament.
The Stallions improved their team score by seven strokes from Monday, jumping Mobile for 7th place in the standings.
Jesse Jones and
Stewart Rustin both shot +4 at RTJ Golf Trail at Cambrian Ridge.
Aaron Stocks and
Wheeler Ryan both finished at +6.
Aren Flanders had the alternate score.
Playing independently,
Landon Lyon's Round 2 was +4.
Jones only had one birdie - on the 18th - but hit 12 pars. Rustin's back 9 had two birdies.
Stocks had a team-high three birdies, but struggled on the No. 7 and hit a double bogie at No. 10. Ryan sank two birds, both on the back 9.
Lyon's independent score featured three birdies. He remained in the top 20 of the individual leaderboard with an overall score of  +7.
ABAC's roster at conference is also seeing
Daniel Harkins play as an independent.
Dalton State continued to be atop the team leaderboard at +14, three shots ahead of Blue Mountain.
The third and final round of conference was underway Wednesday.
