OXFORD, Ala. – The ABAC golf team finished tied for fourth among seven teams participating in the Spring Swing at Cider tournament held Tuesday and Wednesday at the Cider Ridge Golf Club.
The Stallions finished at 46-over-par, tied with Southern States Athletic Conference rival Point University. Both teams were one shot behind Snead State Community College, which placed third at +45. Talladega College, the host school, won the event with a score of +28, while Jefferson State Community College, from nearby Birmingham, finished second at +31.
On the individual leaderboard, Stallion freshman
Sebastian Gonzalez fired a 1-under-par 71 in Wednesday's second round for a two-round score of 147 (+3), which was good enough for second place. The freshman from Apopka, Fla., was one shot behind Jefferson State's Braydon Moye, who won the tourney with a 146. Gonzalez's second-round 71 matches his lowest round of the season, tying his second-round score at the ABAC Spring Invitational at Spring Hill Country Club.

Other teams in the event included Miles College (+70, 6

th).
The Stallions will next compete in the Southern States Conference Championship at the Robert Trent Jones Trail at Cambrian Ridge course in Greenville, Ala., on April 22-24.
