Box Score 2 JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The ABAC Fillies took the Lady Tigers from Edward Waters down to the wire in the second game of their doubleheader here Tuesday. But Calyn Rounsaville was able to draw a bases-loaded, two-out walk for the winning run in a 5-4 Fillies' loss. ABAC lost the opener 3-1.
The second game was tied 4-4 in the seventh. ABAC got two runners on in the top of the inning but couldn't get a run home to set things up for the home team. In their half of the inning, the Lady Tigers had two singles and a walk to load the bases before Rounsaville's patience at the plate won the game.
The Lady Tigers took a 2-0 lead in the first inning with a two-run home run from catcher Brooke Rice. But in the fourth, ABAC shortstop
Kendall Fowler, right fielder
Alli Eidson, first baseman
Emma Humphrey, and third baseman Amanda Archibald each had RBI singles to take a 4-2 lead.
EWU tied with a couple of runs in the fourth inning to set up the dramatic finish.

Lexi Metts and Archibald.

In Game One, an ABAC error led to two Lady Tiger runs in the third inning for an early EWU lead. The Fillies got one of those back in the top of the fifth when catcher
Ridleigh Rowell reached on an error. Metts came in to pinch run and took it from there as she stole second, went to third on a wild pitch, and scored on a passed ball to cut the lead to 2-1.
Edward Waters added a lone run in the sixth before the Fillies mounted a rally in the top of the seventh. With one out, Archibald and Rowell had back-to-back singles. But ABAC could not advance past second base as the Lady Tigers sealed the win. In the opener, the Fillies were limited to five hits off EWU starter Keivana Durand, who also struck out six. Rowell led the way with two hits, while Fowler, Humphrey, and Archibald also singled.
The Fillies are off this weekend and will be back in action one week from Saturday when they travel to Thomas University in Thomasville for a conference doubleheader.
