TIFTON – The ABAC Stallion golf team coasted to a first-place finish as the hosts of the ABAC Spring Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at Spring Hill Country Club.
The Stallions won the tournament, which included three rounds played over two days, with a team score of 884, six strokes over par. Talladega had the best round of the event Tuesday with an even-par 288 and finished at +28. The ABAC B-team was third at +45 while Georgia Military (+54) was fourth and Brewton-Parker (+76) was fifth.

Nicholas Browning, a freshman from Dublin, shot a 1-under par 71 Tuesday to tie
Stewart Rustin, a junior from Columbus, at 2-over par for the tournament. Rustin was a member of the A team which also included
Aren Flanders (-5),
Wheeler Ryan (+9),
Whit Hayes (+11), and
Alex Hays (+11). Browning's teammates on the B team included Sebastian Gonzelez (+3), Samuel Surratt (+18),
Daniel Harkins (+24), and
Mason Walker (+37).
Next week, the Stallions will compete at Point University's Spring Skyhawk Invitational at Newnan Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
