Box Score                 TIFTON – An early offensive slump was too much for ABAC's Fillies to overcome Thursday in an 86-42 conference loss to the University of Tennessee Southern at Gressette Gym.

                ABAC trailed 38-14 at halftime and had trouble corralling the veteran Firehawks, who had five players in double figures.

                The Fillies had trouble with the taller and more experienced visitors from Pulaski, Tenn., who outrebounded ABAC 67-50.

                Sophomore Shakiria Chaney did manage a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds while Dailey Jefferson added 12 rebounds to go with six points. UTS senior forward Daysha Reid led all scorers with 21 points and 15 rebounds while junior guard Silkie Vazquez notched a triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

                Now 5-12 overall and 0-6 in the Southern States Athletic Conference, ABAC returns home Saturday for another league contest as Blue Mountain Christian will visit Gressette Gym for a noon tipoff.
