TIFTON, Ga. - Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College baseball slid back one spot in the biweekly NAIA Baseball Top 25 Coaches' Poll, which was released Wednesday afternoon, April 15. The Stallions still hold the No. 22 slot going into this weekend's games at Blue Mountain Christian.
ABAC is currently in a four-way tie at the top of the Southern States Athletic Conference standings at 14-7, along with Loyola, William Carey and Thomas University. Mobile is one game back at 13-8.
Loyola (30-12 overall) and William Carey (30-14) stayed steady at No. 14 and No. 15, respectively. The Stallions (30-14) are No. 22.
No other SSAC teams received votes. Thomas has a record of 23-17 overall and Mobile is a shade under .500 at 20-24.
Taylor (Ind.) is No. 1 with 10 first-place votes. Georgia Gwinnett is No. 2, garnering three first-place votes. Bellevue (Neb.) has four first-place votes and is No. 3.
This weekend's SSAC series see ABAC at Blue Mountain; William Carey at Thomas; Point at Loyola; Brewton-Parker at Tennessee Southern; and Faulkner at Mobile.
