JACKSON, Tenn. - Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College took home one of the big Southern States Athletic Conference baseball awards for its coaching -
Blake Williams earned Mike Jacobs Coach of the Year Tuesday - several Stallions athletes merited postseason honors as well.
Kade Haywood,
Chasin Cash,
Quinten Rawls and
Zack Bowman all earned First-Team All-Conference. Second-Team selections were
Reigh Jordan and
Dylan Davis.
Gold Glove picks for ABAC were Haywood, Rawls and
Cameron Campbell. Cash was named to the Champions of Character Team.
Rawls led the conference in doubles at 22 (and was tied for second nationally) and assists at 156 (also second nationally). His 74 hits were second in the SSAC and his 53 RBIs were third as was his .633 slugging percentage. He had 32 extra-base hits, which ranked second in the conference.
Cash, senior first baseman, hit .351 during the regular season, with 44 RBIs and six home runs. His 61 hits have also included 17 doubles and he scored 35 times. Rawls and Cash participated in the most double plays turned in 2026 at 33.
Bowman did not open the year as a starter, but quickly moved into the role, ultimately making 31 starts. He had a five-hit game against Thomas University and went 4-for-4 versus No. 3 Georgia Gwinnett. Bowman's average is .391.
Haywood not only won eight regular season games with a 3.06 ERA, he has been quite the workhorse. Haywood's 85 1/3 innings pitched were not only the best in the SSAC, but ranked second in the NAIA.
Campbell earned his Gold Glove by playing a perfect centerfield in 2026. He handled 102 changes without an error. Haywood likewise fielded his position without fault. He made five putouts and assisted on 14 other plays. Rawls fielded at a .951 rate and is among the nation's best in assists and double plays.

Individual awards from the SSAC saw Faulkner's Edrien Martinez earn Player of the Year; Matthew Davis of William Carey was Pitcher of the Year; Newcomer of the Year went to Ian Vickers of Thomas University; Isaac Padilla of Thomas picked up Freshman of the Year; Sportsmanship went to Faulkner.
