GULF SHORES, Ala. - Softball t Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College took a pair of tough losses Friday to open the Gulf Shores Invitational in Alabama.
The Fillies began the day with an 8-7 walk-off loss to William Woods, followed by a 10-5 loss to Lindsey Wilson.

ABAC battled its way back from an early five-run deficit to tie it 7-7 in the 5th before the Owls broke their hearts in the bottom of the 7th.
ABAC stole 6 bases on the day and hammered out 14 hits, but their first run, by
Ansleigh Darby was on a sac fly off the bat of
Carter Gore.
Kinley Snider scored in the 4th on a wild pitch.
Olivia Britt followed with a double that plated
Hannah Capps and Darby singled in
Kiersten Carter.
On inning later,
Lexi Metts scored and Carter doubled home Snider and
Ava Roland.
Darby, Eidson, Snider, Carter and Britt each had 2 hits. Darby stole 3 bases.
Tess Rollins fanned 7.
LINDSEY WILSON
Lindsey Wilson took a 7-0 lead before the Fillies were able to scratch a pair of runs in the 5th inning. Both teams scored 3 in the 7th.
Emma Humphrey doubled in
Carter Gore and
Alli Eidson for the first ABAC runs. In the 7th, Gore doubled in Eidson and
Ansleigh Darby. The Fillies' final run was a rare triple steal involving
Kinley Snider,
Lexi Metts and
Chloe Stone. Stone had the run.
Darby had 2 of ABAC's 8 hits. Eidson, Gore and Humphrey all hit doubles.
Lindsey Paul struck out 6 in 6 innings of work.
