HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Fillies basketball game had a tough time Saturday afternoon in a Southern States Athletic Conference loss at William Carey.
The Fillies were down 51-14 at halftime before a final of 94-45. ABAC plays a non-conference game Tuesday at Trinity of Jacksonville, then wraps the home schedule Thursday with Brewton-Parker and Saturday versus Point.
Shakiria Chaney, the league's leading scorer, tallied nearly half ABAC's points at 22. Chaney went 8-of-19 from the field and 5-of-8 from the free throw line.
Camiya Starks came off the bench to score 8 points. Chaney led in rebounds at 4.
