DALTON, Ga. - Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College men's basketball headed for its final game Saturday after falling 102-83 at Dalton State Thursday night.
ABAC held a brief lead Thursday, 7-3, following jumpers by
Dontae Smith and
Tommie Hall, and a three-pointer by
Matthew Mairena. The Roadrunners took the lead at 8-7 and, apart from a Mairena triple to square the score 10-all, Dalton State led the rest of the way.
Dalton State was ahead 52-37 at halftime.
Mairena scored 21 points for the Stallions, with 3 steals and 8 assists. He made all four of his free throws.
Smith netted 18 points, Hall scored 11 and both
Bryce Wimberly and
Landon Chattam finished at 8 points. Hall had 8 rebounds to lead in that department.
ABAC finishes the regular season Saturday at Life University.
