MARIETTA, Ga. - The 2025-26 college basketball season came to an end Saturday for Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College at Life University, 91-79.
Down 15 at intermission, ABAC outscored Life 40-37 in the 2nd half. The Stallions gave their hosts the jitters midway through the period.Â
Tommie Hall sank a 3-pointer at 12:59 to cut the deficit to 62-55. Hall kept it at seven points a minute later with a layup. But Life pulled away again. ABAC got the margin under 10 late in the game on a bucket by
Bryce Wimberly.
In the first half, ABAC kept pace with Life for the first two minutes, tying the score at 2, 4 and 6 on buckets by
DeAli Thompson,
Matthew Mairena and Wimberly, respectively.
Mairena led the Stallions in scoring at 24 points. He went 8-of-8 from the free throw line and had 8 assists. Hall finished at 21 points, making all 4 from the stripe.
Dontae Smith scored 15 points and Wimberly ended at 11.
Wimberly was the Stallions' leading rebounder at 8. Smith contributed 3 steals.
