BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. - The Stallions of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College outscored Blue Mountain Christian in the 2nd half Monday, but a scorching hot 1st half by the Toppers saw them win by a 113-91 score.
The game was the first in what will be a long week for ABAC. Thursday, they travel to Dalton State and Saturday finish the regular season at Life University. This rare three-game conference weekly schedule came about because a January game between ABAC in BMC was postponed because of ice storms.
The Stallions did have a hot game shooting the ball, going 31-of-64 from the field and 24-of-29 from the free throw line. Five players scored in double-digits, led by
Dontae Smith's 25.
Landon Chattam ended with 17 points,
Tommie Hall at 16,
Matthew Mairena at 15 and
Bryce Wimberly with 10. Hall had 8 rebounds. Mairena went 4-of-4 at the stripe to increase his percentage to 92.4 for the year.
