TIFTON, Ga. - The weather Saturday never got out of the 30s, but the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Stallions used the hot bat of
Dylan Davis to walk off the third game of their series with Indiana Wesleyan, 4-2, in 8 innings.
Davis drove in
Hunter Robinson with a two-run blast in the 8th. Robinson had singled to reach base.
Tre'von Lee earned the win after pitching the 8th. After both games of Friday's doubleheader were 9 innings, the Stallions opted for a 7-inning game and a bumped up start time because of the chilly temperatures.
Chasin Cash opened scoring by driving in Davis in the 1st inning.
Kam Taylor earned a bases-loaded walk in the 3rd to make it 2-0, bringing home
Drew Rothschild.
Single runs by Indiana Wesleyan in the 6th and 7th tied the game, sending it to extras.
Davis had two hits Saturday and drove in two runs.
Kade Haywood had a strong no-decision contest on the bump, throwing seven innings with 9 strikeouts.
ABAC, now 4-2, heads to Florida Feb. 6-7 for games against Warner University and Indiana University at South Bend. The next home game will be Feb. 10 at 3 p.m. against Thomas University.
