TIFTON, Ga. - Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College's Stallions played a close second half at home Thursday with Faulkner, but the visiting Eagles were able to rely a big early advantage in a 104-79 victory.
ABAC went up 2-0 on a
Bryce Wimberly layup but Faulkner jumped ahead from there.
Matthew Mairena led the way with 16 points. He made all 10 of his free throw attempts, raising his yearly percentage to 92.9%. Mairena also had 5 assists and 4 rebounds.
Dontae Smith scored 12 points and Wimberly finished at 10. The Stallions had 3 blocks as a team, including
Henry Rowe's rejection of giant Tanner Vogel.
The Stallions are back in action Saturday against Mobile at about 2 p.m., following the Fillies game.
