TIFTON, Ga. - William Carey got off to a fast start Saturday, keeping their undefeated record intact with an 84-51 victory over the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Fillies.
William Carey took a 25-9 lead after the first 10 minutes and outscored ABAC in every quarter except the second. The Fillies had a 14-12 advantage over the 10 minutes of the second frame.
Shakiria Chaney and
Reese Riddle finished in double-digit scoring for the Fillies. Chaney netted 17 points on 5-of-15 shooting (6-of-7 at the free throw line), combined with 4 rebounds, 2 steals and a block.Â
Riddle's line saw 11 points, connecting on 4-of-12 shots from the field.Â
Melody Charlton contributed 9 points, all coming from behind the arc.
ABAC travels to Tennessee Southern this Thursday and Blue Mountain Christian on Saturday. The next home game is Thursday, Jan. 29 versus Faulkner.
