LEESBURG, Fla. - Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College will be looking for a better start to the 2026 portion of their men's basketball season after wrapping up 2025 Monday.
The Stallions fell in a 74-65 contest at Beacon College and are now 4-6 after a 4-1 start to 2025-26.
ABAC's next game is Jan. 3, 2026 at Thomas University, which will make up a game postponed in November because of illness. The Stallions will play at Brewton-Parker and Point before returning home Jan. 15 against Loyola.
Though the Stallions outscored Beacon 37-31 in the second half, it was not enough to make up for a 43-28 deficit at intermission.
Tommie Hall put 19 points in the bucket to lead ABAC scorers.
Matthew Mairena scored 16,
Bryce Wimberly had 14 and
Chaste Appling added 10.
Mairena had a near double-double with 8 rebounds and dished out 6 assists.
